OUR KENNELS
At Yeppoon Boarding Kennels & Cattery we have two separate kennel areas.  The main Kennel block, for all medium to large dogs, offers sanitized kennels of differing sizes, all in concrete/brick and colourbond, and offering trampoline beds, blankets, toys, water crates to play in, treats and daytime radio. This area has just been renovated with brand new roofing and brand new internal dividers. We have also just installed astro turf into our second exercise yard.  The dogs love and we love it too!  What a difference!

Our philosophy is that dogs are pack animals and enjoy sharing each others company, so all dogs that are social and friendly spend their days playing in our beautiful tree filled exercise yard complete with toys and paddle pool.  

We have two exercise yards for the main kennel block.  Our smaller yard is now astro turfed and looks fantastic.  Our very large main yard has several smaller yards within it so that dogs that are not good with their own kind can still enjoy the sunshine and fresh air for the day.  

“The Little Kids” area provides all our tiny guests with a safe enclosed area offering  kennels of differing sizes, little doggy huts, shadecloth covered beds, and lots of blankets, bunny rugs, treats, toys and daytime radio.  Due to popular demand we now have 2 human beds in the little kids area.  They LOVE these beds the best of all!  In their exercise yard they can play in the wee kiddies house or cool off in the paddle pool.  We find that generally the little guests are sweet and amiable and we allow them to roam free all day.  They all make good friends, find a suitable playmate and share each others beds throughout the day. We have installed astro turf (fake grass) in their play area and have to say it has made such a difference - so attractive, flea and tick free, clean and fresh.

Only good quality, nutritious and yummy meals are served here. 

Each morning we cook our own stew which includes rice, veggies, pasta and mince.  Add to that fresh chicken (mince, necks, or frames), meaty bones, doggy rolls and a dry food (that is free of flavours or colours) – there is always something that pleases even the fussiest dog. 

 OUR BRAND NEW AIRCONDITIONED CATTERY

In March 2010 we opened a brand new cattery we named "The Cat Shack".  We thought the name was appropriate as the building is a large shed (a shack) and we live on the beach (a beach shack).  "The Cat Shack"  is beautiful, clean, airy and spacious.  This cattery is fully insulated, no more dog noises.  it is also airconditioned for our felines ultimate comfort.  We have also installed a flat screen TV and we play cat appropriate DVD's daily (such as Mouse Hunt, Chicken Run, Stuart Little etc). 

We have replaced our old "Cat Cabin" with 2 "The Cat Condos".NEWS UPDATE!!!  Due to popular demand and overbooking of The Condos we have now removed some kennels and installed another Condo.  Due to the L shape of the condo we were unable to install a human bed so we have installed a baby cot instead.  Absolutely Adorable!!!  These condos are room size, covered in special cat mesh and have been set up as  bedrooms, with human beds (or a cot), scratching posts, chairs, toys, tunnels and more!  Talk about fun!!

All our other guests are in large freshly refurbished kennels with beds, blankies, toys and scratchers.  Of course all our guests are special and individually receive lots of attention from staff.

NEWS UPDATE!!!  We now use Hills Science Veterinary food as the ultimate meal for our feline guests.  We do not like feeding our guests supermarket tins of cat food and have decided that despite the increased cost we believe it is worth the effort.  So far our guests LOVE their bowl of dry food to the extent that even our usually fussy eaters feast on their dinner to great contentment.  We have not had one cat refuse its dinner since we started feeding them this new diet.  What can i say to that?? We know that a good diet means a healthy disease free animal so we are pleased to offer this tremendous food for no extra cost.

OUR BRAND NEW RECEPTION!

Our brand new fully air conditioned reception area opened Mid December 2010.  It is a very tranquil office where you can get out of the rain or the heat, have a seat and a cool drink and watch our TV screen whch scrolls through photos of our many guests and their antics.  Our reception is definately pet friendly so dont worry about the carpet, just bring your pets in.  Our customers are loving this new facility!

 BOARDING NECESSITIES

We need proof of vaccination (C5 for dogs, F3 for cats) for the first visit and then again after each yearly booster.
Yeppoon is a haven for paralysis ticks all year around.  We ask that you use a flea/tick preventative before arriving and suggest you order a hydrobath on departure.
We sell spot-ons and tick collars at cost price if you have forgotten.
